August 17th, 2020
After the good work done by PUMA Football and AC Milan on the occasion of the creation and launch of the home shirt, another masterpiece in terms of design and concept arrives. The third Rossoneri kit for next season is inspired by the motifs that have made Milan Alta Moda famous all over the world, one of the most important fashion capitals of the world.

Bringing the elegance and unique design of the Milanese tailor's shop to a football shirt is not child's play. PUMA has decided to celebrate one of the strengths of Haute Couture by exploiting the similarity between the iconic Houndstooth motif - born in Scotland but in effect adopted by Italian stylistic culture - and the "M" of Milan and Milan. The symbol has been rotated about 45 ° precisely to resemble the first letter of the historic Rossoneri club as closely as possible. The new jersey is in a particular shade of green, a color that Milan has already used in the 2016-16 season, however, choosing a decidedly darker nuances. The teal green goes perfectly with the new design. In addition to the Houndstooth motif printed ton-sur-ton in its lower half, it should be noted that it will be a monochromatic kit, therefore with shorts and socks in the same color.
The historical references are very clear, starting from the superb AC Milan shirt from the 1995-96 season, to the shirt - also made by PUMA - worn by Arsenal in the 2017-18 season, with the nuance from top to bottom that seems to be similar to that of Milan.
"Milan's third kit is the natural continuation of our work. We have observed how the city and its culture influence the world. The fact that Milan is the capital of fashion made it an immediate choice to draw inspiration from. For this reason we have wanted to give life to a classic model that celebrates the culture of the city through the lens of fashion. Never before has AC Milan had a kit with this reference to fashion and, for the first time, we have integrated a pattern of Haute Couture in a team jersey".
David Bremond, Head of Product Line Management Teamsport
Even Casper Stylsvig, Chief Revenue Officer of AC Milan, said he was enthusiastic about the work done with PUMA: "Milan has many souls: architecture, design, fashion. The latter was chosen to give its mark to the third jersey that Puma has created with great skill. A decidedly innovative jersey, which immediately met our taste and which we are sure will also be a success among Milan fans. An unforgettable jersey to wear, which best represents the traditional Milanese lifestyle that embraces an international audience".
