Francesco Totti's legacy will also be traced back to the cinema, thanks to the film “Mi chiamo Francesco Totti” which will be released in theaters as a special event on 19, 20 and 21 October. Th journey of Pupone was created and directed by Alex Infascelli, based mainly on the book "Un Capitano" written by the historian #10 of Rome with Paolo Condò. and preparing to land on the big screen in October.
A film - whose screenplay is the work of Infascelli and Vincenzo Scuccimarra - which will start from Totti's magnificent farewell match and go back in time to retrace the life of one of the strongest Italian footballers ever. There will also be many unpublished scenes of that May 28, 2017, when the eighth king of Rome greeted his Curva Sud for the last time.
The film will premiere at Festa del Cinema di Roma and is produced by Lorenzo Mieli, Mario Gianani and Virginia Valsecchi, a The Apartment and Wildside production, both of the Fremantle group, with Capri Entertainment, Fremantle, with Vision Distribution and Rai Cinema in collaboration with Sky and Amazon Prime Video.
