September 22nd, 2020
In Brazil, this year, there seems to be a lot of nostalgia for the past. Or at least, a great respect for the characters of football history. After Corinthians' tributes to Bruno Giovanelli, Coritiba F.C. dedicated a third jersey to a local legend, Brazilian Dirceu Krüger, a former Brazilian club midfielder who died last year. As Giovanelli had been a symbol of Timao, so Kruger is for the white-green team, and the company decided to include what was the pattern of Kruger's jersey in this year's third kit. Krüger has spent his entire football life with Coritiba, and the Brazilian, outside the Coute Pereira stadium there is also a statue in his honor. That inspired the color of that shirt, named in his honor 'Krüger Eterno'.
The peculiarity of this third uniform are the colors: the pattern is in fact composed of stripes in gold and bronze, with the symbol of the club and the brand of the club - 1909, self-produced - are gold and bronze respectively. In black, there are the edges of the sleeves, the collar and the sponsors on the shoulder blades and sleeves. The third Coritiba split will be dressed by the players of the club starting in October, during the ongoing Brasileirao, and among other things, it will be possible to buy it in the stores at a low price on October 12, the birthday of the Curitiba club.
