Umbro will be partner of Iraq national team

Engaged in qualification for the next World Cup in Qatar, Iraq national team has signed a technical partnership agreement with the British brand Umbro. The brand will be a supplier of sports equipment for the Baghdad national team from today until the next two years, that is, until the possible presence of the selection at the 2022 World Cup. Previously, Iraq was dressed as the Italian brand Givova. 

The contract between Iraq and Umbrian provides not only for an agreement for the national team, but for the distribution of uniforms and material also for the teams of the Iraq Premier League and the Iraq League Division - the second division. The English brand will offer footballs and race kits to Iraqi teams, and for the national teams, as well as the major one, also under-23s, under-20s, under-17s, the fustsal team and the women's national team. Iraq is the only team sponsored by Umbro in the Middle East, where adidas and Nike are present but with one national team each (adidas Iran, Nike and Saudi Arabia), while the other Middle Eastern selections are dressed by Joma, Uhlsport and Jako. 

Iraq is not the most famous team in Middle Eastern football but it is still an interesting sports movement and, considering the geopolitical condition of the country, also a good ranking in the FIFA ranking - 70th place.
