The new Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli official team merchandising collection

Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli presented a new capsule collection to celebrate the 36th edition of the America's Cup, scheduled in Auckland, New Zealand from 6 to 21 March 2021. The entirely made in Italy collection will be available only on the Luna Rossa Prada online store and in the official 36th America's Cup stores. The sailing competition returned to New Zealand eighteen years later, when the Swiss team Alinghi triumphed in 2003. The Prada Cup will also take place between January and February before the America's Cup, the tournament that will allow challengers to be selected (by elimination) for the Auckland event in March.

The collection expresses the unity of elegance and comfort typical of the Luna Rossa Prada line, in which the technical element blends with the aesthetic one. In the capsule there are a total of 48 items including accessories and dresses, including wool hats, hats with visor, short and long trousers, t-shirts (also long-sleeved). The polo shirts are available in five colors (black, gray, light blue, red and cream) and in models for men, children and women (for this type of sizes they are also available in pink). The rest of the collection features many sweatshirts and technical fleeces, made with stretch materials and specially made to ensure team members are agile in their movements. Among the most interesting items there is certainly the black Foredeck Gilet, made with technical materials and a minimal but elegant design, with the shooting at the bottom of Prada's colors.

Each garment - with the exception of trousers, present in the collection both long and short - has printed synsitra the logos of Pirelli and Prada and on the right that of Luna Rossa. The Italian team (which is based in Valencia, Spain) has been sponsored by Prada since its foundation in 1997, with Miuccia Prada godmother of the inauguration of the first hull. In September also North Sails launched its new collection for the 36th America's Cup, with many outwear items.
