The cycling clothing brand Rapha presented the new "Futuro" collection, inspired and made on the model of the riders' outfits of the eighties and nineties. Rapha took a shoot in which models appear in particular poses and with a matte effect to transfer to the photo a certain vintage effect, but above all, with a cover made on the model of the stickers of the players.
Rapha's collection consists of three models of bike outfits (sweatshirt, shirt and shorts) and some items such as glasses, socks, hat and vest. Sweatshirts and jerseys are a reference to the cycling tradition of the 1990s, when large companies such as Toshiba invested in cycling and the industry experienced important technological development. Rapha's references recall this important period in the history of cycling with the colors and design of those jerseys, divided into the three Models Coureur, Lightweight and Futuroscope, respectively inspired by the cyclist El Diablo Claudio Chiappucci, the revolutionary design of the Toshiba team, and the Futuroscope theme park, where on some occasions the first stage of the Tour started in the nineties. The jerseys and sweatshirts are made of modern materials to ensure the rider the best elasticity during racing. Rapha took great care of the details in each garment, trying to make the products as original as possible, such as the characteristic of the three studs in the Coureur jersey.
More than any other brand in this sport Rapha is experimenting a lot in terms of outfits. The latest collaboration with Palace (but also with Browns) has testified to the innovative identity of the English brand, which on the one hand wants to continue its tradition of style, on the other hand tries to experiment with new collaborations new aesthetic codes for cycling.
