Francesco Ragazzi of
Palm Angels has announced a collection inspired by
NBA 2K21, the basketball game of EA Sports. The creative director of the Milanese brand is a big fan of basketball and has partnered with the video game for a limited edition
off-the-pitch that will be presented with a special occasion, taking advantage of the possibility that gaming offers and to overcome the impossibility of carrying out public events.
The collection consists of hoodies, accessories, t-shirts, long pants and shorts, all with bright and colorful tones. The line recalls the pinstripe taste typical of NBA players in full pre-match style. Ragazzi enlisted the
"Palm Angels MVPs" for the drop, a team of fans of the game consisting of Atiba Jefferson, Clara Berry,
Chiara Scelsi, Dr. Woo,
Slowthai and Zack Bia to participate in a series of games from six different cities through the virtual field 'The City', in the
PlayStation 5 edition of NBA 2K21. In this challenge, players will be able to see the items from the Palm Angels collection by choosing them from the options of the Swags's store. NBA 2K21 gamers and fans will have the opportunity to confront the famous online gamers, obsesseting what, in normal contexts, could have been a public physical performance between famous people and fans, united by a passion for the video game.
In recent months there have been many intrusions of fashion and brands into the virtual, such as adidas with
FIFA, or the fashion show on
Animal Crossing, but for the best
basketball video game, this year, there had still been no drop. For Palm Angels, it's the first time in a virtual sporting setting, but not a sporting context. In fact, a few months ago Inter president
Steven Zahng had published the
screen of a chat with Francesco Ragazzi, creator of the Milanese brand.
