Kappa presentes the 2020-21 streetwear collection of Genoa CFC
With a lookbook shooted in Villa del Principe
November 30th, 2020
Kappa presented Genoa CFC's new streetwear 2020-21 collection with a lookbook, shot in the center of Genoa, inside the rooms of Villa del Principe. To present an off-the-pitch collection of the oldest club in Italy, Kappa decided for a historic location, perfect both to tell both the sporting heritage of the Ligurian club and the more modern declinations of the club, of which this new collection is an example. The collection, whose shooting was shot by Soccer Bible, aims to enhance the colors of the oldest club in Italy, combining them with kappa streetwear cut.
Kappa's collection consists of sweatshirts and tracksuit pants, T-shirts, fleeces and tracktops, all in sporty style and with the social colors of the Ligurian club. There are white, red and blue, with the symbols of Kappa in white along the sleeves, which applied on a red band follow the style of the suit typical of the Nineties, when Genoa, before relegation to B in 1994, had reached the semi-finals of the UEFA Cup and was one of the most in sight teams of the Italian league. The pattern of the tuts has also been inserted on the jerseys of the collection, present, as for wetsuits, both in a white and red version and in a blue and red version. In the shooting these jerseys were also accompanied by this year's away jersey - blue and with a camouflage-like pattern -, an aesthetic choice that wants to combine, through a sports line, the streetwear collection with the team's playing uniforms.
Also last season Kappa had made a personalized shooting to present Genoa's off-the-pitch collection, but it did not have the same historical location as this year's shots. The 16th-century landscape of Villa del Principe with its gardens and sea view make the set unique.
