PUMA and Kevin Prince Boateng launch ULTRA "Black Lives Matter"
Initiative that is part of the PUMA #REFORM project
December 10th, 2020
The fight against racism has always been at the center of Kevin Prince Boateng's career. From today, thanks to the work done with PUMA, he will also be at the center of his style on the pitch. The former Barça and Milan teamed up with the German brand to create a special edition of the ULTRA with a clear focus on "Black Lives Matter". PUMA's initiative is part of the brand's #REFORM projects, certainly among the most active in the fight against social equality.
The #REFORM project was launched more than two years ago, in October 2018, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the gesture of the athlete Tommie Smith in Mexico City in 1968. Founded on three fundamental pillars, racial discrimination, LGBTQ + and gender, #REFORM pushes and supports social change. By collaborating with communities, activists and organizations around the world, PUMA tries to change the darker side of the sports world, not just football.
And what better testimonial than Kevin Prince Boateng, a player who has never been afraid to publicly denounce and fight the problem of inequality? It was Kevin Prince who turned to PUMA to collaborate on this special project and to discuss initiatives to help drive social change in football and society.
