Studio Populous will make the restyling of the Stade de la Meinau
And they want to reuse the disused fuselage of an Airbus A340

Kansas City's architectural studio Populous, will take care of the restyling of the Stade de la Meinau, the Racing Strasbourg F.C. stadium. The sport facility of the French team is very old, and Populous, who has become very popular in Italy to be a candidate for the new San Siro, wants to make the stadium like those of the top European clubs. And it will do so using sustainable materials and trying to furnish the plant with renewable sources, plus all the latest systems required by the new stadium architectures: services, open space, heating from renewable sources and LED lighting. The work is scheduled to be completed in 2025.
Strasbourg is considerably more famous for the presence of the European Parliament than for the football team, and in fact, the restyling of the Stade de la Meinau is to be read with a view to a period of major renewal for Football French. Ligue 1 clubs are upgrading their facilities (as the Bordeaux stadium) and the league level, thanks to figures invested by PSG and those of new properties in Lyon and Olympique Marseille, is growing a lot.
