The AS Roma special jersey for 'Roma Capitale'
To celebrate the 150 years since the title of first city of Italy
February 4th, 2021
In recent days the appointment of Rome as capital of Italy has been celebrated and among the many initiatives that have appeared in the Capitoline city, there is also that of AS Roma, who for the match against Juventus on Saturday night in Turin will wear a celebratory jersey. This was announced by the Giallorosso club through a press conference, in which the other different celebrations that the Giallorossa club organized for this week were also presented.
The uniform does not change compared to this year's Home version. The same pattern and template remain, only that, in the center of the yellow and red stripe - in the heart of the club's colors - a patch will appear with the words 'Roma Capitale 1871-2021'. To remember the appointment of Rome as capital there will also be other events, such as murals or cleaning projects in collaboration with Roma Cares, foundation of the Giallorosso club that works in the social. These activities will also involve Roma fans and players, with operations suitable to raise citizens' awareness of the civic respect and social responsibility of each one. Meanwhile, on Saturday night, at the Allianz Stadium in Turin, fonseca's team will play with the special patch on the chest, in a big match in which there will be maximum visibility for the special jersey.
As the AS Roma website reports, the new Head of Government Affairs of Rome Stefano Scalera explained that: "Celebrating the 150th anniversary of Rome Capital is natural for a Club that has always been linked with its city".
