Sir Alex Ferguson will also have a documentary on his career Prime Video entrusts the direction of Never Give In to the son of the best manager of the Red Devils

The legendary career and life of Sir Alex Ferguson will be at the center of the new documentary that Amazon Prime Video will launch next May. "Never Give In" is a journey into the almost 80 years of the Scottish manager, 27 of which spent on the prestigious bench of Manchester United. There is so much more besides football in the documentary directed by Jason Ferguson, son of what at Old Trafford remember as Furious Fergie: leadership, mental strength, the impact of his training and the fears of the coach as the main themes he tells one of the best coaches in the history of football.

Thanks to testimonies from his wife Cathy and three children and unpublished archival videos, the documentary will reveal aspects of Sir Alex that have so far remained private and well-kept. In addition to the 13 Premier Leagues that he brought to United's showcase, as well as the two Champions Leagues he won and the many champions he trained and launched on big stages, there is a man who confides his fears and secrets to his son, in a memory that the manager has always tried to preserve. "Losing my memory was my biggest fear when I suffered a brain haemorrhage in 2018" confessed the most successful coach in history, adding that "In the making of this film I was able to revisit the most important moments of my life, good and bad. Having my son Jason direct this film has ensured an honest and intimate account".

From exploring his working-class roots in Glasgow to the talents he had to manage, from Eric Cantona to Ryan Giggs, from Gordon Strachan to David Beckham, inevitably passing through CR7. "Sir Alex Ferguson: Never Give In" will be released on Amazon Prime on May 29, but will be anticipated by a premiere in theaters on May 27.
