In the 4-2 home win against Chievo Verona, Lecce wore a special jersey to celebrate their 113 years of history that will occur tomorrow. At the "Via del Mare" stadium, Corini's team took the field wearing the historic uniform in use between 1978 and 1980, adapted with the current sponsors by M908, the kit supplier of Salento, but with the logo of 40 years ago : symbol in white with the she-wolf and the holm oak tree in the center. Total red uniform with yellow horizontal stripes on the shoulders, yellow and red inserts for sleeves and shirt collar, blue shorts and red socks. The goalkeepers also celebrate Aldo Nardin, historic Lecce goalkeeper who died last year, with a special kit in olive green.
A lot of enthusiasm for the new jersey even among the fans, who on social networks would like this version as the definitive third jersey of the season. That of Lecce is a story of a club that has always lived in football, despite the many corporate problems that have plagued one of the most iconic football realities in Southern Italy. During these 113 years of history, players such as Cuadrado, Muriel, Miccoli, Vucinic, Chevanton, Bojinov, Ledesma, Conte, Giacomazzi, Di Michele, Tiribocchi and Konan have dressed the yellow-red jersey.
