Kingsley Coman signs with PUMA
Another departure for Nike, another arrival for PUMA
March 23rd, 2021
Kingsley Coman has just signed a new sponsorship deal with PUMA Football, officially terminating his relationship with Nike. The Bayern Munich player, author of the decisive goal in the last Champions League final, is yet another blow from a brand that is expanding its group of athletes exponentially. After the signing of Neymar last September and the sponsorships with Varane, Maddison, Xhaka and Lewandowski, PUMA undermines the dominance on the market of giants such as adidas and Nike. Above all, the American brand seems to be losing more and more pieces, seeing a considerable amount of testimonials / athletes leave.
Coman is the ideal player for PUMA's new approach, always linked to performance and speed but without underestimating the streetwear side of the athletes. The explosiveness of the winger of the French national team and the Bavarian club fits perfectly with the new technologies of PUMA, especially with the ULTRA model. This year Coman recorded a top speed of 35.68 km/h, almost rightfully entering the ULTRA section of the German brand.
In the shooting that made the Herzogenaurach brand, Coman does not hide his passion for basketball, posing with a branded ball almost as if a new collaboration between the football world and the basketball world is announced. Although the announcement came in the last few hours, the player currently in rally with his national team has already paraded at Clairefountaine fully branded PUMA.
