In the new Boca jersey there may be a reference to Maradona Adidas is rumoured to replace the current coat of arms with the 1981 logo on the next uniform

According to FootyHeadlines, there may be a reference to Diego Armando Maradona on the next Boca Juniors adidas Home jersey. El Peluda played at Bombonera for three seasons: one at the beginning of his career (1981-82) and two at the end (from '95 to '97), and he retired playing with the Xeneises. In reference to that period, Boca and adidas - which is this year took over Nike as technical sponsor of the Buenos Aires team - thought of creating a connection with Maradona's first year at Bombonera.

This could be a modern remake of the jersey of the 1981-82 season, always published by adidas. In particular, in addition to the various references and template, the real connection point is the 4 stars on the left side of the chest, instead of the club logo. In practice, for one season, the coat of arms of Boca would be that of 1981, new and with a revolutionary (old) design. Four simple stars, perhaps, as FootyHeadlines specified, also with the insertion of the letters CABJ, the acronym of Club Atletico Boca Juniors.

This one from adidas could be an interesting operation. The German brand, due to the past that link it to the Xeneises, has in its hands a lot of material to be able to do excellent work at Bombonera. In addition, this connects to the increased presence of adidas in Argentina (the Boca, the River, the National team), taking the place, in some clubs, of Nike.
