After having chosen on two faces of Italian football such as Romelu Lukaku and Roberto Mancini, Maserati continues to implement branding strategies by appointing David Beckham as the new global ambassador of the Modena car manufacturer. There are many points in common between Maserati and the Spice Boy, but iconicity is the common thread that unites the English philanthropist and Made in Italy excellence.
The Maserati brand is increasingly aiming to establish itself among the luxury cars of the new automotive era and to do so it has chosen sport and football as its main lever. "For me it's exciting to start this partnership with Maserati, an iconic Italian brand that shares my admiration for the greatest innovations and the best design," Beckham said to announce his new role. "At such a crucial moment in its history, I look forward to working closely with Maserati and continuing this growth with them on a global scale" concluded the former United, Real and Milan player.
To inaugurate the partnership, a video was published on the social channels of the new global ambassador and the Italian car manufacturer in which Beckham is driving the new Maserati SUV, the Levante Trofeo. In the DB garage - already crowded and rich - there must be room for Italian wonders.
