Movie memorabilia is among the most requested by collectors and if we add to these the fact that they come from historical film sets, that's it. Californian auction house Julien's Auctions has opened bids for the iconic Nike Air Jordan 2 worn by actor Bill Murray in Space Jam (1996). In the film that made MJ legendary even on the big screens, Murray plays a key role in the Looney Tunes' victory over the Monstars, with the steal that will give Jordan the opportunity to score on the siren with "final extension", just for quote Bill. The latest offer made for the AJ2s - first released in 1986 - is just over € 1,200 ($ 15,000).
Though Murray, like the Space Jam movie, didn't win any noteworthy accolades, the few lines of the man who came to the Looney Tunes world by hitchhiking have become as iconic as his assist to Jordan. The shoes that are currently up for auction are sold in their original box, with a pair of white socks and the red shirt Murray wears under the Tunes Squad uniform.
