The brand identity of the new UEFA Conference League
The new European competition kicks off next September

In addition to the Champions League and the Europa League, UEFA is also ready to launch its third European competition: the Conference League. The preliminary stages of the new European tournament will begin in July, while the official start of the group stage is scheduled for September. After months of waiting, the new Conference League logo arrives, in which 32 teams will participate. The design remains faithful to the modernization of UEFA's crests and visually closely resembles that of the Europa League - with the substantial difference of the change of trophy and the color switch from orange to green. To respect consistency with the older sisters, the Conference League brand identity maintains the same font as the CL and EL designed ad hoc by Turquoise Branding.
The logo was launched at the same time as UEFA announced the official location of the first final of the competition: the Arena Kombëtare in Tirana, Albania, will host the match that will award the title on 25 May 2022.
As said before, 32 teams will compete in a first phase of eight Italian groups of four teams to be followed by the classic mechanisms of direct elimination with home and away matches starting from the round of 16. Winning the tournament will guarantee qualification for the next season's Europa League. As for the participating teams, the UEFA ranking will determine the amount of teams divided by nations that will take part in the competition: the nations from the first to the fifth place of the rankin will have only one representative - in the case of Italy, at this moment the Rome would be qualified for the Conference League; nations from sixth to fifteenth place will have two representative teams; the nations comprised from positions 16 to 50, will have three representatives; from Liechtenstein will come the last through the victory of the national cup.
