Team GB's Ben Sherman collection for Tokyo 2020
The British Olympic athletes will dress the British brand replacing Stella McCartney

Ben Sherman launches the collection that will be worn by the UK Olympians at the upcoming Tokyo 2020. After announcing the new partnership in April 2019, the British brand unveils the athletes' outfits: polo shirts and cotton sweaters, a casual striped shirt, a bomber and a Harrington jacket, almost all made with sustainable organic materials. The moment of greatest visibility will naturally be the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games, where Team GB will deploy two flag bearers - a man and a woman - to send a message of equality.
The collection features summer garments with an elegant and simple design, just like the style of the brand. The references to the Union Jack both at a stylistic and chromatic level are evident, without however leading to excess. Just think of the Tokyo Art Graphic Tee, a clean polo shirt that recalls the colors of the British flag on the neck. To enhance British elegance, Ben Sherman decided to entrust the shooting of the collection to Rankin, an institution in the field of photography, especially from a fashion point of view.
It is worth underlining that, as often happens at the Olympic level, the proceeds from the sale of the Ben Sherman x Team GB collection will go to the British Olympic Association, which for years has been involved in promoting sport especially among the most disadvantaged classes.
