After paying homage to Inter Milan by collaborating with Umbro, Patta also looks to the Rossoneri side of Milan. This time the partner who makes up the team from the Dutch brad is Kappa and the shirt chosen to honor the football and aesthetic history of AC Milan is the away version of the 1988-89 season, culminating in the victory of the Champions League thanks to the braces against Steaua Bucharest of Gullit and Van Basten. The heritage of the Turin brand accompanies the new Patta capsule collection after having contributed to making the football style fashionable already in the 80s.
The white background, the double Rossoneri bands and "Team Patta" which replaces "Mediolanum" make the shirt special just like the team coached by Arrigo Sacchi at the time. From the three Dutchmen - with Van Basten who will close the season with 33 goals scored - to the talent of Donadoni, passing through an impenetrable defense formed by Tassotti, Maldini, Franco Baresi e Billy Costacurta. The Champions League ride remains one of the most incredible memories of the glorious AC Milan history, with the 4 goals scored against the Romanians coming after the unforgettable 5-0 against Real Madrid by Hugo Sánchez and Emilio Butragueño.
