The status of MFP - Most Fashionist Player - by P.J. Tucker has been confirmed in a season that sees the Milwaukee Bucks still fighting for the title and leading 2-1 in the Eastern Conference Finals against the Atlanta Hawks. But if on the court Tucker is the wingman who tries to get under the skin of the best opposing players, off the court his style is unmatched. This prompted Dolce&Gabbana to invest in the Bucks' power forward to create new versions of the Miami, the iconic sneakers signed by the Italian brand. Being the most obsessed sneakerhead in the NBA is a trait that makes the former Houston Rockets unique and "stylistic class" has allowed him to literally put his signature on the new D&G product.
The style of #17 of the Bucks and the creativity of Dolce & Gabbana have given birth to two new interpretations of the Miami sneakers, inspired by basketball shoes from the early 90s. Characterized by a mix of materials, the two products are available in Sicilian orange color - with the suede upper that contrasts with the yellow of the laces and with the Dolce & Gabbana label in micro-injection with the signature of P.J. Tucker embroidered on the heel and on the tongue - and in the beige color.
To launch the new collabo, Dolce & Gabbana has decided to combine the drop with an exclusive NFT: the sneaker will therefore also become an intangible work of art, ethereal but real, which will unite two worlds so important for Dolce&Gabbana, the physical and the virtual one.
The sporting adventures of Dolce&Gabbana were of the most disparate: from the NBA with the incredible game of Gilbert Arenas at the Staples Center played with a pair of D&G Velcro Strap Patent Hi-Tops to the fashion show organized through the streets of San Gregorio Armeno in Naples in 2016 in which Diego Armando Maradona was honored (who however sued and won the case against the brand), up to the MMA with the outfit designed for Marvin Vettori on the occasion of the UFC middleweight final.
