The new Meyba x Real Bristol FC collection
Inspired by the Paisley pattern of the bandanas
July 5th, 2021
Meyba and Real Bristol FC, the ideal football team founded by the Japanese collective SOPH, have joined forces to create a new collection. The line includes shirts, shorts and a game shirt in shades of black and tiffany green. The main inspiration is the Paisley pattern of the bandanas, as well as the inspiration for last season's Manchester City third kit designed by PUMA. The creativity of Neal Heard mixed with the style of SOPH generates a breath of fresh air, with the items that will be available from Friday 9 July.
While Heard's work as creative director of Meyba is helping the brand in a very well-defined path of creativity, SOPH has created over the years a football imaginary of its own that feeds each season with new collections and collaborations - just remember the one with Strassenkicker, the Lukas Podolski brand. Starting in 1999, Real Bristol FC have become an institution in the relationship between football and fashion, even if, in reality, the team has not played a single match among the professionals.
