The new Venezia FC 2021-22 home kit by Kappa
After twenty years, the team returns to Serie A with a shirt inspired by Venetian iconography
July 29th, 2021
Venezia FC and Kappa have officially unveiled the first jersey that marks the lagunari's return to the top league after a long absence that lasted exactly twenty years. And it returns with one of the most distinctive jerseys of the coming season inspired by Venetian iconography, with a very special texture that recalls the surfaces of the facades of ancient Venetian palaces captured in photographs taken around the lagoon. In addition to this detail on the basic black texture, there are gold elements inspired by the monuments, churches and palaces of the city. In particular, the jersey features the golden stars of St. Marco's Basilica arranged in a "V" with the word "Venezia" positioned on the chest to celebrate the city.
There is also space for the club's social colours, green and orange together with the black of the jersey emerge on a flag in the centre of the chest, on the collar and on the sleeves. The jersey designed by Kappa is full of details that embellish and sanction a unique bond between the club and the most iconic city in the world, with all the gold-coloured logos echoing the stars and the word Venezia. In difference to last year, the horizontal stripes are gone, replaced by a texture reminiscent of the lagoon, the design and development was handled by the New York-based creative agency, Fly Nowhere, in collaboration with Kappa.
