Champions League has a new logo
The rebranding is there but it is not seen and has not yet been communicated
August 5th, 2021
Just like Serie A, which updated its logo a few weeks ago without communicating it, UEFA is doing the same with the famous Champions League logo. The change is there but it is only visible to the most attentive and ready eyes. There is still no official communication about the change, not even the social pages have been updated yet but only the official website. The historic logo was introduced by UEFA in 1992, in recent years it has never changed, but has undergone only small retouches, like this one today, almost imperceptible.
The changes essentially concern the registered trademark symbol, which is now located at the top right of the E and no longer below the logo. The font has also been updated, both for the logo and the words "Champions League", which are now much more pronounced, almost in bold compared to the previous version. A minimal update but as reported by FootyHeadlines it could be the prelude to a much bigger rebranding, the one that will take place in 2024 when the formula of the tournament will change completely and the groups will be abandoned.
