The adidas ZX 2K Boost 2.0 inspired by third kits
The new model of the brand with a design dedicated to Bayern, Manchester United and Arsenal
August 18th, 2021
The five top adidas clubs - Juventus, Bayern Munich, Manchester United, Arsenal and Real Madrid - have almost completed the presentation of all the kits of the season which for some has already begun. To close the circle of teams that are at the top of the pyramid of sponsorships of the German brand, only the third jersey of Juventus and Real Madrid are missing, while Bayern Munich, Arsenal and United have already presented the third jersey. Each of this was accompanied by a fully customized adidas ZX 2K Boost 2.0 model based on the jersey pattern, a strategy that the three stripes have been using for several years.
Taking up the motifs of the kits and transporting them on increasingly sophisticated and technologically innovative uppers is a process that requires attention, especially if you want to achieve the double goal of selling a product like sneakers and at the same time also pushing the sales of the jerseys.

The trend of combining sneakers and soccer jerseys has already been explored: while adidas has been riding this wave for some time, on the other Nike implemented the reverse procedure last season, launching the third shirts of the top clubs. (Inter, AS Roma, Atletico Madrid, Barcelona, Chelsea, Tottenham, Leipzig and Galatasaray) combining them with historical Air Max models. The Swoosh did not stop only at this but, indeed, it produced only for the Premier League team ( Liverpool, Chelsea and Tottenham) special versions - never worn in official matches - which take inspiration from three specific models: the Air Max 90, the Air Max 180 and the Air Max 95. The "Air Max Club" project and the adidas reinterpretation 2K Boost 2.0 are signs that the football shirt and sneaker market is constantly looking for a point of contact.
