The BOSS x Russell Athletic fashion show on a Milan baseball pitch

Two historic fashion and sportswear brands launched their second collaboration during Milano Fashion Week. BOSS and Russell Athletic did not choose a classic location for the event, but the two brands decided to parade on the grounds of the JF Kennedy Stadium, the home of Milano Baseball 1946. The event, which took place this morning recreating the euphoria of baseball games with a band in tow, saw the participation of big names such as Khaby Lame (chosen as host), Gigi Hadid (already the face of the first collabo), Irina Shayk, Adut Akech Bior, Joan Smalls, Fedez and Chiara Ferragni. 

Once again, the worlds of fashion and sport dialogue, this time choosing a baseball field as a catwalk and stepping outside the box for a return to fashion events. The entire fashion show, opened by Gigi Hadid herself, was broadcast live via streaming on the channels of the two brands and was preceded by a mini baseball game accompanied by a countdown to the launch of the new collection. Even the invitation was designed following the central theme of the event: a baseball match ticket with date, time and "BOSS x Russell Athletic pre spring 2022" instead of teams.

The collection follows the style of the first drop in March 2021, with a decided change of colours that betray neither the sporty essence of Russell Athletic nor the elegance of the German fashion brand. The beanie, bomber jacket and shorts worn by Gigi Hadid are the highlights of the collection, which is completed with trench coats, down jackets, baseball-style tops, camouflage suits, t-shirts, hoodies, buckets and even a real baseball glove.
