Santos played with two different kits in the same match

Something strange happened on Wednesday evening in Brazil, something that probably nobody was prepared for. In the national cup match played at the Fluminense field, Santos played the first half with the third black jersey and the second half with the first white jersey. This was an unusual occurrence because during the first half it was impossible to distinguish between the black jersey of the Santos players and the red, black and white jersey of Fluminense, so in the second half the visiting team opted for a change of jersey.

A change that absolutely benefited Santos, who managed to tie the game in the second with the white shirt and then win the passage to the next phase on penalties. One wonders, however, why the referee did not ask the teams to change shirts before the game. This was not the case and even reviewing the highlights of the game you can see a certain inaccuracy and fatigue of the players in the first half, then overcome in the second thanks to the wise change of kit.
