The new Bari shirt signed LC23 and Kappa
From the pattern to the logo redesigned, Bari is moving towards a definitive rebirth and sporting consecration

History, ancient customs and popular culture, all seasoned with a sprinkling of seafaring tradition: this is the mix conceived and proposed for the new Bari jerseys, designed by Kappa and LC23, the 100% "Made in Puglia" brand created by Leonardo Colacicco. The polyp, an animal that has become a symbol of belonging to the city of Bari, and the name "La Bari", as the team was called until the 70s and as the true fans of the red and white colours continue to call it today. Among other new features, the cockerel, symbol of the SSC Bari logo, is freed from all other elements and made as a rubber patch. The first match kit is made up as follows: a shirt with vertical stripes on a pattern characterised by an intertwining of octopus tentacles, black collar, off-white and black stripes. White and red, the classic colours of SSC Bari, are darkened to give the jersey a slightly retro feel. The cockerel, the symbol of the SSC Bari logo, is freed from all other elements and made as a rubber patch. On the back of the jersey, under the collar, is printed the famous phrase of the founder of Bari Calcio "Know how to love Bari, always look at it with eyes in love". The kit is completed by black shorts with off-white and black stripes and a cockerel as on the jersey, and socks with horizontal off-white and red stripes, with jacquard writing 'la Bari' on the front and a jacquard Kappa logo on the back.
But in addition to the beautiful match jersey with the classic social colours of the Apulian team, LC23 and Kappa have also created a very special kit for the goalkeeper, with a pattern that always recalls the octopus. The kit that Emanuele Polverino will wear on Sunday afternoon against Andria is made up of a teal background colour that recalls the colours of the Bari sea, off-white collar, off-white and black stripes. As in the first kit, the cockerel is made as a rubber patch and the phrase of the founder is printed on the back under the collar. Shorts with off-white and black stripes, cockerel as on the jersey, and socks with horizontal off-white and teal stripes, with jacquard writing on the front 'La Bari' and jacquard Kappa logo on the back, complete the goalkeeper's competition kit.
But that's not all, in addition to the two match jerseys - one for goalkeepers and one for movement players - the LC23 and Kappa collection also includes two pre-matches, a sweatshirt, a polo shirt, a T-shirt and trousers, designed to take these two iconic colours off the pitch. The two pre-match jerseys feature the same polyp tentacle pattern: one with red/black/off-white background colours and white logos; the other with off-white/grey/white background colours and red logos. The remaining items are characterised by the large embroidered writing on the back "La Bari" and a black background colour with red-white details. Finally, a ball, featuring the polyp tentacle pattern, and a cap.
An important collaboration in an equally important period, they are crucial matches for the Bari formation that for years has been dreaming of getting out of the so-called quicksand of the Lega Pro and reach the categories it deserves. Already on Sunday, if Antenucci and his teammates were to triumph in the derby against Andria and Catanzaro (second in the table) were to lose against Juve Stabia, the "biancorossi" could already celebrate promotion. An important promotion, awaited for years in the city and that now seems more than close and that could come with a not obvious jersey, inspired by those of the 90s produced by Kappa and that left a mark in the Basque Country, with Athletic Bilbao (season 1994/95), but also in Catalonia, with Barcelona (season 1996/97).
