Umbro x Tacchettee, the collection that takes you back to the 90s

Umbro x Tacchettee, the collection that takes you back to the 90s Three different track jackets inspired by Inter, Napoli and Lazio jersey patterns

Once relegated to our parents' wardrobes or to the walls of sports bars, today Umbro's shirts and jackets with the two horizontal diamonds are back in fashion, enhanced by a recurring fetish for the nineties aesthetic, the result not only of the nostalgia effect in the world of football, but also of a sentiment of contemporary sportswear that loves to dialogue with those canons. We recently told you about the return of Umbro, which now sponsors West Ham, Brentford, Derby County, Schalke 04 and the Irish national team, but even off the field the English brand has managed to make a name for itself, first with the shirts designed in collaboration with Supreme and now for another wonderful collection that will take you straight back to the 90s when Italian football was on the roof of the world and the World Cup was played at home. It's called Archivio90, a mini collection in collaboration with Tacchettee inspired by the nineties atmosphere and the extraordinary textures with which, in the nineties, Umbro dressed some of the strongest teams in Serie A

The collection consists of three track jackets, iconic pieces of the collaboration, with over fit and the unmistakable Umbro geometries, then sweatshirts, trousers and t-shirts with the characteristic taping. Three iconic patterns dusted off thanks to the contribution of Tacchettee, an independent brand that makes celebrating the many nuances between pop culture and the most beautiful game in the world its credo. Impossible not to recognise them. A collaboration born from a shared nostalgic pleasure for authentic football, experienced with a joyful and ironic spirit on and off the pitch, from the most monumental stadiums to the dirt pitches of the suburbs. After dominating the 90s, it is now making a strong comeback, showing us how those patterns and geometries are still more than relevant in the world of fashion.
