Mitre's new ball for the 150th anniversary of the FA Cup
It will be used exclusively for the next final between Chelsea and Liverpool
April 20th, 2022
Produced in collaboration with the FA Cup and produced in only 150 pieces, today Mitre presented the new ball that will be used in the mid-May final between Chelsea and Liverpool. It is a special ball because this year the English competition sponsored by Emirates celebrates 150 years since the birth of the competition, which is why the English brand has decided to produce such a limited number. The ball, which remains very simple and similar to the one used during the rest of the competitions, will be adorned with a small infographic that shows the names of each team that has won the Emirates FA Cup since 1872.
Built for maximum control and to ensure perfect precision and power with every touch, the Delta Max is designed and engineered with Hyperseam™ technology with bonded and stitched seams that allow the ball to not absorb water and play in all weather conditions. The raised surface texture then manipulates the airflow around the ball for pin-point accuracy and speed. This is a particular ball that will determine the winner between Chelsea and Liverpool, in a very open and important final for both English teams.
