After Liverpool, it is Manchester City the second Premier League team to show off the jersey in which the Citizen will take the field during the upcoming season. The home kit designed by PUMA, City's technical sponsor since 2019, is a tribute to one of the best eras in the Citizen's history, when between 1967 and 1971 captained by Colin Bell they won the Championship and the European Super Cup. The jersey, sky blue as always, features contrasting white and burgundy piping on a clean, classic design in keeping with tradition for the German brand.

"The maroon color was an important detail because it is an iconic color seen on many of the previous jerseys. It is a great homage to the fun teams of yesteryear and the exciting free soccer of the current City team," said Marco Mueller, Senior Head of Product Line Management Teamsport Apparel. But the references to Colin Bell, remembered by blue Manchester fans as Colin The King, do not end at the colors chosen but encroach of the design, with the inclusion of a crown on the inside of the collar. Worn in the presentation shoot by Jack Grealish, fresh Brand Ambassador for Gucci, Phil Foden and Kyle Walker among many others, we will see if it will also be used in the last, decisive Premier League game against Aston Villa.
