Heung-Min Son will be the next football player to have a personal brand
Called NOS7 it will be unveiled next June 17 and will cover a clothing line and much more
June 3rd, 2022
It's a golden moment for Heung-Min Son, the South Korean striker of Tottenham Hotspurs, who finished the season with a fourth-place finish that means qualification for the Champion's League and especially Golden Boot as the Premier League's top scorer along with Mohamed Salah, and decided to launch his own personal brand. Back in his homeland, Son sported a white T-shirt with the "NOS7" logo engraved on the left chest, his surname on the reverse and the number he usually wears on his Tottenham shirt.
Created in partnership with Shinsegae, the brand will be officially unveiled on June 17 but is expected to touch multiple business sectors, from sports management to apparel to food and beverage. Although it seems that it will launch a clothing line first, it is likely that the brand will also expand to the other areas for which it has filed patents. Son is one of the most influential sportsmen in the Far East due to his success in the world's most famous soccer league and at the same time has always been distinguished by his measured personality that is never over the top. It will be interesting to see how he will exploit it commercially through his brand but never before has soccer become a planetary phenomenon.
