Are the adidas jerseys for the women's national teams replicas? Those worn by teams during the Nation's League would not be those usually provided for federations

In the latest round of the Nation's League, the national teams sponsored by adidas took the lead in a nice initiative by taking the field in the jerseys of the women's selections that will face each other next month during the European Championships in London 2022. Players from Belgium, Spain and Germany all wore kits designed for their female colleagues raising awareness and putting women's football on an equal footing with men, even defying FIFA laws that prohibit federations from changing their game jerseys.

However, some have expressed some doubts about the quality of the kits that the German company has provided for their national teams. In fact, the jerseys worn would not be the Home Authentic but Replica versions, made with materials and finishes inferior to those usually provided to the players. The difference is visible both from the fact that the logos and emblems are sewn and not hot-printed except for the crest of the Spanish federation, which having recently changed, was added later in print.

In addition, the jerseys are made of Aeroready fabric instead of the more high-performance HEAT.RDY usually used for official ones. This is an obvious style drop, especially given that adidas' direct competitors, Nike and PUMA, have already unveiled their jerseys for the European Championship with new, eye-catching templates and the use of their flagship materials, Dri-Fit ADV and Ultraweave, respectively. Indeed, London's will be a great showcase for women's football, and all the brands are going all out to make women's kits a recognizable item beyond the pitch for the first time.
