The new president of Hertha Berlin is a historical fan

To become president, or at least to have access to one of the management chairs of one's favourite team, is without doubt the secret dream of every fan, and someone in the Bundesliga has managed to make it a reality. We are talking about Kay Bernstein, founder of the group 'Harlekins Berlin 98' and a long-standing Hertha Berlin fan, who in recent days has been elected president with 55% of the vote. A dream come true for the former Hertha ultras leader, who will now have to move out of the bleachers reserved for the hardcore fans and into the management stand for good.

The achievement of 55% of the vote has effectively ruled out any possible turnaround, officially consecrating Kay Bernstein as the new president. The young German is actually called to a very important challenge, the club from the German capital came close to relegation this year, which was only avoided thanks to the play-off against Hamburg, and needs to get back on the right track. Also for these reasons, the previous president, Werner Gegenbauer, had to step down, leaving the chair vacant. Elections that once again, as happens in Germany, mark the will of the fans to bring the club closer and make them protagonists in every choice of the club. Although in this case Kay Bernstein will be more of a protagonist.
