The new Paris Saint Germain jersey signed by Nike for the 2022 - 23 season
A long-awaited kit where the historical design by Daniel Hechter also returns
June 29th, 2022
Paris Saint Germain today presented its first jersey for next season with three main novelties. Firstly, Nike returns to the first shirt of the Parisians, taking the place of Jordan who replaced it last year. The historical design created by Daniel Hechter, which has always been considered a stylistic institution and an essential symbol of the French club, is also back after last year's fan protests. And finally there is also the change of sponsor after years with Fly Emirates and Accor, from this year on the shirt of Mbappé and his teammates there will only be Qatar Airway, by virtue of the agreement just signed.
The return of the Hetcher design was long awaited, since last season, a few days before the official launch of the kit signed by Jordan, the fans had written an open letter addressed to the Parisian management and technical sponsor Nike, linked to Paris Saint-Germain for more than 30 years. In the letter, all the love and obsession of the fans towards even a visual identity that is not always respected was perceived. "A fight that we will not let go. History is written in blue, white, red and white! Respect our colours." After the thunderous protests, history therefore returns in the first shirt of the Parisians, in a kit capable of mixing tradition and modernity.
