Lazio's new jerseys mark Mizuno's return to Serie A
Presented last night in Piazza del Popolo at an event open to all biancocelesti fans

After a long series of leaks and rumours, Lazio presented the first Mizuno jerseys yesterday evening. Twenty years after designing Fiorentina's match jerseys, the Japanese company yesterday in the splendid setting of Piazza del Popolo sanctioned its return to Italy's top league. An agreement desired and found by President Lotito, who yesterday expressed himself with these words on the new partnership: 'we have signed the new contract for a very long period of time with one of the most prestigious brands in the world, which honours us for its choice. Mizuno has shared with us a path into the future because they considered Lazio a team that has a great desire to grow and with the means to do so. We want Lazio to reach the levels they deserve in international football, you'll see that the club will move in the right way'. The first jersey will always be light blue, as per tradition, but Mizuno has tried to differentiate itself from past technical sponsors by incorporating Olympia, the team's symbol, into the design to instil pride in the players and fans who will wear it.
The second jersey, on the other hand, returns to black and, as per tradition, will once again feature the logo used in 1982, the one stylised by Cesare Benincasa and still very popular and in vogue in the biancoceleste environment. The away team is also characterised by its design, where a sort of sound wave in yellow and green has been added to make the jersey more attractive, running through the logos on the front of the jersey. In addition to these two, yesterday evening also saw the presentation of the jersey that will be worn by the goalkeepers, designed in green and embellished with horizontal stripes in black.
