Ajax's new away jersey in navy blue

Ajax's new away jersey in navy blue A mix of history, modernity and tradition

After the fans' protests about the font used in the first shirt, which was compared to that of Mc Donald's, Ajax and adidas today presented the new away shirt for next season. A simple, navy-blue and extremely elegant jersey that is unlikely to be subject to criticism from fans and fans alike, not least because the motifs inserted into the edges of the collar and sleeves are a deliberate reference to the Andreas crosses that appear on the Amsterdam coat of arms. The references to the city don't end there though, because in addition to the red colour (the club's social colour) that will be present in the three stripes and the shorts, adidas has again added gold, one of the most characteristic and present colours in the Dutch city.

A mix of history, modernity and tradition that as every year characterises the Ajax kits, candidates by right every year to enter the classics of the best jerseys of the season. What makes this kit more iconic is the navy blue, a look that in the mind of the fans recalls that of the European champion Ajax in the 1994-95 season, considered by all fans as one of the strongest teams of all time.

The jersey is already available here.
