New York Yankees, LeBron James and Drake are ready to invest in Milan
According to the Financial Times, RedBird will soon announce the entry of its new partners
August 31st, 2022
After a summer full of indiscretions, skipped negotiations, resumed and finally given up for closed, RedBird now seems to be officially one step away from acquiring the majority of Milan's shares, paying into Elliott's coffers around 1.2 billion dollars. This week or next week at the latest seem to be the designated ones for the definitive and official handover, which brings with it news that cannot fail to please Milan fans. In fact, it seems that RedBird - a very rich investment fund - in addition to being partly backed by the New York Yankees, there would also be Main Street Advisors. At first glance, this financial consultancy company will obviously not tell you anything, but among their many clients, the advisors manage the assets of LeBron James and artists such as Drake, Dr. Dre, Jimmy Iovine and Billie Eilish, who could therefore in turn invest in Milan, becoming minority partners.
An agreement that the fans have been waiting for for a long time and that has also partly slowed down the market of Maldini and Massara. A change of ownership that will surely benefit Milan, not only from an economic point of view, given that the New York Yankees are one of the richest sporting clubs in the world, but also from the point of view of infrastructures, with the new stadium project being one of the first points on the new owners' agenda. Just a few more days of waiting and then Milan fans will finally know their future.
