Liverpool returns to green
Nike decided to dedicate the third kit to the spectacular Anfield crowd

After a less than inspiring start to the season for Klopp's team, who only picked up nine points in their first six games, Liverpool and Nike unveiled their third and final kit of the season this morning. The main news is that after years an iconic colour in the history of the Reds is back, a green that was the protagonist of the many successes achieved in the nineties and early 2000s and used in particular by Reebok. After years Nike have decided to bring this colour back into fashion, it hasn't happened since the 2016 season when New Balance decided to adopt a neon green.
In addition to the pattern that seems to form small waves, Nike has decided to dedicate this shirt to the fans, to the famous Kop curve that has always accompanied its fans on any pitch, from the local ones to those of the Champions League. For the occasion and to present the third jersey, the club commissioned a customised banner from fan Mark Sweatman, who created a banner with 97 stars, each representing an away win or a trophy won by the Reds in Europe. A dedication strongly desired by the swoosh who, after having explored the relationship between the city and the club in the away jersey, for the latest one could only dedicate it to those who are or have been an integral part of its rich European history and success.
