It was 1830 when Katsushika Hokusai produced one of the woodcuts destined to remain in history, remaining evergreen thanks to the immediate success it achieved both at home and in Europe. Centuries later, after various parodies and revisitations, the stormy wave that threatens ships off the coast of an area corresponding to today's Kanagawa prefecture has landed on Crotone's shirts. All three shirts made by Zeus, sponsor of the Calabrian team since 2005, have been created with the texture of the Japanese work, the only thing that has changed are the colours of the shirts, the first classic red and blue, while the second and third are respectively ivory white and blue.
Crotone, however, is not the first club to decide to create a jersey with the Big Wave, already last year, still in Lega Pro, Cesena had created something similar but only for the third. jersey. The Calabrian team's jersey will also feature some of the most famous phrases of Rino Gaetano, the historic Italian singer-songwriter and Crotone-born. Three jerseys that have also been created to celebrate the strong ties with the sea and the Magna-Greek identity, with the great Crotone athletes, and which, according to general manager Raffaele Vrenna, will push the players beyond their limits.
