The first two jerseys of the new Catania signed Erreà

The first two jerseys of the new Catania signed Erreà “Melior de cinere surgo”

After the bankruptcy, the consequent takeover and the re-foundation, Ross Pelligra's new Catania is finally ready to leave all the off-field events behind and start again. Yesterday in a festive afternoon at the Angelo Massimino stadium, the new club together with technical sponsor Erreà presented the first two jerseys of the season with which the Etnei will take the field in the Serie D championship. 'Melior de cinere surgo', with these words the adventure begins again for the new club Catania Società Sportiva Dilettantistica (Catania SSD), a phrase found on the Porta Ferdinandea, a triumphal arch built in 1768, which sums up how the people of Catania continue to rebuild their city on the ashes of the previous one. The home jersey is deliberately a classic design with wide vertical red and blue stripes, with a narrower stripe of the same colour in the bezel and wrist for decorative purposes. To complete it all, it features a collar in a revisited white V-cut.

It's not over yet, along with the first jersey, Catania SSD has also unveiled the second one, on a white background and with a roll neck, the away jersey model has raglan sleeves with a red and blue striped pattern. On the back of both uniforms, the wording 'Melior de cinere surgo' is written under the collar, a symbol of rebirth after the vicissitudes of the last few years that have sanctioned the loss of the historic freshman team and the consequent definitive bankruptcy. These essential shirts represent a starting point for the new coat of arms of the Etna club in which traditional and innovative elements coexist.

Like all Erreà garments, this collection is also certified Oeko-Tex Standard 100, the certificate that since 2007 sets extremely strict limits on substances harmful to health, guaranteeing a high level of quality and safety.
