Nike and Off White made a goalkeeper jersey
Virgil Abloh's legacy continues with the Nike x Off-White collection
December 22nd, 2022
Almost four years after "Football Mon Amour", a project in which Virgil Abloh and Kim Jones approached the beautiful game from two different perspectives, Nike and Off White have returned with another football-inspired capsule collection. In the collection in fact, in addition to jerseys, sweatshirts and tracksuits, there is also a goalkeeper's jersey with a pattern reminiscent of wood grain, combined and presented in a blue shade to recall the "Swimming Man" logo printed on the chest. Unlike the famous collection created four years ago, today's was created with the unique aim of commemorating the uniqueness of the human being and the wonder of life.
Each garment in the collection is then stamped with a serial number, each piece in fact is unique in this capsule. From unique finishes to graphics to nature-inspired colours, these unique details celebrate the idea that the future is an asymmetric truth. It's not over yet because as announced in addition to the capsule, a new model of trainers, the Nike Terra Forma, will also arrive. An unusual pair of shoes that attracted attention for their outdoor-inspired look and a very particular tone-on-tone design that recalls that of the garments just presented. Years later, Virgil Abloh's legacy continues with a capsule collection that is a tribute from the two brands, to one of the designer's favourite sports and to life itself.
