New year, new festive clothes for Paris Saint-Germain. Just yesterday, Dior unveiled the new attire, designed by Kim Jones, that PSG will wear to compete at the Parco dei Principi. It is a range of elegant and modern tailored suits. The blue and black pieces range from suits to polo shirts and cashmere coats, and fit perfectly with the aesthetic the Parisian team has developed over the past few years. Kylian Mbappé, Lionel Messi and Neymar will thus be the most elegant players in Ligue 1, confirming an increasingly widespread trend among major European clubs to define their profile off the pitch and take nothing for granted.
At the same time, such aesthetic uniformity is unlikely to meet with the enthusiasm of footballers, who have repeatedly expressed their willingness to dress in the tunnels on their way to the stadium in the same way as athletes in the NBA or NFL do. American leagues, but where formal wear is not underwritten by one of the world's most famous fashion houses.
