The new adidas design Jamaican national team jerseys are here
The full range of the Caribbean national collection finally available
February 6th, 2023
After the jerseys hit the catwalk at Wales Bonner's show, adidas today finally released the Jamaican national team's full collection, designed in collaboration with the British designer. In addition to the home and away jerseys, which take on a classic style inspired by the adidas football tradition of the 1970s, with the former featuring subtle green stripes on a yellow background and the latter featuring a collar and cuffs with Wales Bonner's signature crochet texture, the pre-match jersey and Anthem Reverse Jacket were also shown.
Both use the same graphic pattern inspired by traditional Jamaican knitwear motifs. They are a perfect example of Wales Bonner's philosophy of weaving the heritage of the African diaspora with European designs, combining traditional Scottish style with the sombre colours of the Caribbean and a golden sun motif. The Anthem Reverse Jacket, on the other hand, is the most beautiful piece in the collection. One side resembles the pre-match jersey, while the other is in the colours of the first jersey. The new jerseys from adidas will be worn first by the women's national team during the FFA Nations Cup, which takes place between 13 and 25 February, and then by the Reggae Boyz during the Nations League in March.
