Missing Icon immerses us in a world of memories
The new collection is all about the football boots that marked a generation

When the three Duesseldorf designers Christian Petry, Christian Koeppen and Marco Michalzik, who are friends, decided to found a brand together, they had a very specific goal in mind: to build an imaginary bridge that would bring the football heroes of their youth into the streetwear scene. Thus Missing Icon was born, where the football of the past is revived and the models make consumers reminisce about their youth. Growing up in an era when football icons like Ronaldinho, Zidane or Beckham laced mythical shoes on their feet and ruled the stadiums of this world inspired the new collection dedicated to some historic models.
Nike Total90, adidas Predator Mania, adidas F50 and of course the Nike Mercurial Vapour take centre stage with their graphics and silhouettes, glorifying their role in the world of football. Marco Michalzik, one of the three founders of Missing Icon, comments: "Football and especially the footballers of the time have shaped us. Football icons like Ronaldinho and Zidane have inspired us, not only on the pitch but also off it. Through their successes and personalities, they have left a lasting mark on an entire generation of footballers. With our brand, we want to express our enthusiasm for the football of this era in the form of fresh, modern streetwear products".
