Chelsea's president wants to buy another football club

Yet another demonstration of how for Chelsea football has no end or limits

Chelsea's president wants to buy another football club Yet another demonstration of how for Chelsea football has no end or limits

After the arrival of American Todd Boehly, Chelsea doesn't seem to want to stop, at least off the field, and continues to establish itself as a super power capable of buying anything and everything. In fact, the latest news after the stratospheric football market where they spent a total of 327 million, more than all the clubs of the Bundesliga, La Liga, Serie A and Ligue 1 put together, is the interest in the French league club Strasbourg. For Todd Boehly, this would only be a first step, the newly appointed chairman is intent on building a multi-club project in the world of football as he is not only the owner of Chelsea, but also a co-owner of the LA Dodgers baseball team and the Los Angeles Sparks US women's basketball team and also owns a stake in the famous Lakers Nba franchise.

An empire that Todd Boehly wants to expand and create as soon as possible, following in the footsteps of other Premier League clubs. Yes, because English clubs are now concentrating on acquiring other clubs around the world, a practice that is not new but has been happening more frequently in recent seasons. The latest in order of time was Aston Villa, who bought half the shares of Vitória Guimarães, thus securing all the experience and resources of the Portuguese club, which in recent years has jumped into the headlines not only for some of its home-grown talents but also through its well-thought-out scouting. The president of Chelsea does not want to be outdone and according to the latest rumours seems ready to acquire 100 per cent of the shares and not a share. A move that would make it possible to have at one's disposal all the know-how of the French club that has done so well in recent years, churning out a new generation of talent ready to show off.
