While football is on the home stretch in Europe, it is in full swing in South America. And one of the continent's cult teams, Boca Juniors, has just unveiled its third kit for this season. It's a radical departure from the aesthetic to which the Buenos Aires club and the Argentine league in general have accustomed us, with adidas opting instead for a more minimalist approach that in some respects recalls the German brand's kits for the MLS.

The jersey is inspired by the Nicolás Avellaneda Bridge, which connects the La Boca district with the municipality of Avellaneda and is the only movable iron bridge in South America. It is depicted in a stylised version on the upper part of the jersey, while the bridge is reflected in the water on the lower part. The chosen hue was renamed Hazy Sky Blue and was created by combining royal blue and yellow, the two colours that make up the soul of the Xeneizes. A novelty for a team that has always been very attached to its tradition and colours and which, thanks to adidas, has instead opted for a more modern style that has reminded many of the designs for the North American League.
