The history of Olympique Lyonnais in the new 2023/24 Home kit
Ada Hegerberg and Rayan Cherki among the faces of the new campaign
May 23rd, 2023
So many champions have worn the Olympique Lyonnais jersey in its short history, which has seen the men's team dominate the French league in the 2000s and the women's team win eight Champions Leagues since 2010. The club's tradition is the inspiration for the presentation campaign of the new Home kit, which the French team will wear in the 2023/24 season and which was presented in the past few hours.
The new adidas jersey features some recurring elements in the history of Lyon, such as the red and blue vertical stripe, which was already included in the first jerseys of the 1950s and then reinterpreted in different ways over the years. To celebrate the history of OL, some glories of the past such as Sonny Anderson or Camille Abily were called upon, but also players from the women's first team Maeline Mendy, Amel Majri and former golden ball winner Ada Hegerberg. The men's team currently seventh in Ligue 1 and out of the European cups includes Castle Jr Lukeba, Maxence Caqueret and the talented Rayan Cherki. The history and future of the club continue with the face of a player from the youth sector. The design of the jersey is very clean, with the adidas symbols inserted in gold. One detail that stands out among all is the barely noticeable V-collar, made of three red and blue white bands, the colours of Olympique Lyonnais and the French flag. Also in white will be the shorts and socks.
