Manchester United have officially unveiled their new Home kit for the 2023/24 season, after rapper Aitch gave a preview of it from the Glastonbury Festival stage. The club together with adidas were inspired by the industrial soul of Manchester, and in particular by the geometry of the bridge over the river Irwell, 89 metres long and built during the Industrial Revolution, allowing the great development of the city. A kit that is therefore inspired by Manchester's working class identity, with a design that also recalls the red rose symbol of the Lancashire region.
The kit is in the traditional red colour, with black details on the shoulders that continue into the crew neck collar. On the chest the adidas logo and sponsor are white, as are the shorts. Closing off the outfit are the socks, which are black and have United's iconic devil on them. Inigo Turner, Design Director at adidas Football, said: "The support and unbreakable bond that Manchester United fans have with their club and their city is unique and for this season's edition of the Home shirt we were inspired by just that, celebrating the city's industrial heritage."
