Napoli unveiled a new jersey with skulls

During the past season, it had become a foregone conclusion to expect a surprise shirt from Napoli. From the model with the kiss presented on Valentine's Day to the one with the reindeer dedicated to Christmas. Each calendar date was an opportunity to add a new jersey and ride the enthusiasm of a season that ended with the Scudetto. If in 2022 Napoli and EA7 created a blue jersey with black bats for Halloween, a new kit could not be missing for 2023 either, and the choice fell on another symbol linked to the world of horror such as skulls. 

Napoli presented the jersey with a video made in the famous Cimitero delle Fontanelle, a former cemetery covering more than 3,000 square metres beneath the rione Sanità, one of Naples' richest districts in history and tradition. The protagonist of the video is the new Azzurri player Jens-Lys Michel Cajuste, who in the darkness of the cemetery surprises the caretaker and shows the jersey design and pattern made from skull illustrations. The Napoli crest and the EA7 and MSC logos are inserted in silver, while the Scudetto is in the centre, the only colour detail along with the light blue trim on the chest.
